Studio sessions take place in my Tauranga home studio, or occasionally in a host studio in Auckland. If you’re interested in a studio session elsewhere in New Zealand, feel free to get in touch. I open up travel opportunities a few times each year.

Once your session is confirmed, you’ll receive a preparation guide to help you feel relaxed and ready. This includes outfit guidance, personal prep tips, and answers to the most common questions clients have before their shoot. Plus, we will have a pre-planning call before your session to design your photoshoot and go over everything together. I’ll guide you every step of the way.

If you’re planning to wear wardrobe pieces, bring those along (everything will be clearly outlined in your prep guide). Simple is best - this session is about you. You don’t need to go and buy anything new. The studio includes draping fabrics, sheer fabrics for nude or semi-nude sets if desired, and a robe to wear between sets.

I encourage you to arrive feeling like yourself - with your hair, skin, body hair, and makeup done in the way you feel most comfortable being photographed. Come ready to be photographed.If you choose to go au naturel, amazing.If you choose to have your hair and makeup done, also amazing. However I don’t include hair and makeup as part of your session, as I truly believe you are photo-worthy just as you are. That said, I’m always happy to recommend makeup artists I trust if you’d like professional support (you’ll find details in your prep guide).

Your studio session itself runs for around 1.5 hours. I recommend allowing up to 2 hours in total so you have time to arrive, settle in, and pack up without feeling rushed. Sessions begin at 10am.

Absolutely.If you'd like to refresh your business portraits, we can set aside some time at the end of your portrait session to create a selection of professional business images. It's the perfect opportunity to update your business profile while also enjoying beautiful portraits of yourself. If you're only looking for a few professional profile portraits, then Profile Portrait Day may be the perfect option for you.

Around two weeks after your portrait session, we’ll meet for a relaxed remote viewing session where we’ll look through your images together and select your favourites. Your final digital files will be delivered within 1-2 weeks after your viewing session. Folios and printed products take approximately 3-4 weeks.

My retouching process is intentionally natural and minimal. Anything temporary that comes and goes, such as acne, scratches, or bruises, will be removed. The image enhancement process includes adjustments to exposure, contrast, cropping, and background clean-up, as well as black and white conversion.I don’t change body shape or permanently alter features as I want you to still feel like you when you see your photos. If you have any specific requests or questions, just let me know - I’m always happy to talk things through with you.

To secure your studio session date and time, a non-refundable session fee of $200 is required at the time of booking. Your session date is not confirmed until this payment has been received. This session fee is applied towards your chosen portrait collection.  Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card, with the remaining balance due on or before your session date.

I understand that sometimes life happens. Your session fee is non-refundable as it secures your portrait date, my time, and the preparation involved before your session. Need to reschedule?If you let me know 3 or more days before your session, you can reschedule once to another available date at no additional cost. Any further rescheduling will incur an additional 50% of the session fee. If you need to reschedule within 3 days of your session, an additional 50% of your session fee will be required to secure a new date. Need to cancel?If you need to cancel your session, your session fee is non-refundable. If something unexpected or outside of your control happens, please get in touch. I’ll always do my best to work with you where I can.
